The Geometry Of Wisdom
The Tree of Life is the oldest diagram in the Western contemplative tradition. Ten spheres — the Sephirot — arranged on three pillars, connected by twenty-two paths. It is a map of how wisdom moves: from the crown of pure being, through understanding, down into the body, and back again.
Worn at the heart, the tree is a quiet teacher. It says: knowledge has roots. Growth takes time. What is highest is also what is most rooted in the earth. The branches reach up because the roots reach down.

Why This Symbol
The Tree of Life shows up, in one form or another, in every tradition that has ever taken root. The Kabbalists drew it as ten spheres on three pillars. The Norse remembered it as Yggdrasil, the world-ash that holds the nine worlds together.
